Okuko Kai 奥光会
A Federation Built on Support
Okuko Kai redefines the role of a martial arts federation. Unlike traditional models, we focus on sponsoring dojos and practitioners.
Okuko Kai is the federational arm of Okuko Ryu
Created with the mission of fostering growth, excellence, and community in martial arts. Unlike traditional federations, which often require financial contributions from members, Okuko Kai is dedicated to supporting dojos, teachers, and students without placing financial burdens on them.

A Focus on Support, Not Fees

At Okuko Kai, we believe that every practitioner deserves the opportunity to grow and thrive in their martial arts journey. Instead of collecting fees for grading, membership, or participation, Okuko Kai provides direct support to:

Dojos: Offering resources, training materials, and financial assistance to help them flourish and attract new students.

Teachers: Supporting instructors in their pursuit of technical excellence and their ability to guide students effectively.

Students: Ensuring access to quality training and mentorship, regardless of financial limitations.
How We Achieve This
Okuko Kai is funded through sponsorships and crowdfunding initiatives, which allow us to allocate resources where they are needed most. By partnering with like-minded individuals and organizations, we ensure that the focus remains on the art and the community, rather than on monetary transactions. Every contribution to Okuko Kai is reinvested into the martial arts ecosystem to sustain its growth and integrity.
Our Philosophy

We don't see Okuko Ryu primerily as a self defence, more a way of life.
Not just techniques but a way of life.
By eliminating financial barriers, Okuko Kai ensures that the values of discipline, respect, and continuous improvement remain accessible to everyone. This unique approach reflects the core spirit of Okuko Ryu: cultivating harmony, excellence, and a shared commitment to the art.
